Why are some stories memorable while others are quickly forgotten? In this workshop you will learn techniques for telling more engaging stories in English. We will explore how to structure events, create an interesting beginning and use effective sequencing and descriptive language. You will also practise rebuilding a simple anecdote into a structured, compelling story.
This workshop is designed for learners who want to make their English writing more vivid and expressive. We will focus on descriptive language, imagery and stylistic techniques such as metaphors and similes. Through guided activities, you will also learn how to show emotions and ideas rather than simple state them. Suitable for anyone who enjoys writing and wants to add more variety and nuance to their social media posts, journals, or short texts.
